English version of this monograph that covers the career of Chiharu Shiota, from its beginnings to the present. This volume brings together the ten most significant texts written about her and images of her work between 2003 and 2013. During this decade, Chiharu Shiota consolidated an international career that at the beginning was riddled with questions. The most recurring themes of her work are located at the center of her own existence: death and disappearance are always present. The visual poetics that she constructs responds to the exploration of the being of art and the temporality of the being of the world. The authors address different aspects of the artist's life and work, completing a mosaic of interventions that make explicit reference to silence, loneliness, and the discourse that daily stimulates her artistic practice. The participation of Chiharu Shiota has been crucial for the production of this book, which was made as a result of the unpublished exhibition project that she presented in Casa Asia (2012-2013).
