“The House of the Labyrinth” is the title of this small book and the exhibition project that Noni Lazaga did, curated by Menene Gras at the CEART (Tomás y Valiente Art Center, Madrid, 2015). The artist is the author of two books “Japanese Calligraphy” (Hiperion, 2007) and “Washi. The Japanese paper” (Ed Clan, 2nd ed, 2014). Her volume includes the project she carried out consisting of a spatial interaction, with an installation for a transit place conceived as an “between” that acts as an exchanger between the ground floor and the second floor; and that separates and unites nothingness and the being of the world, identifying the change and change with the movement of time used to carry out a journey that leads from being to existing. This book brings together images of the artist's strategy acting directly on this hostile space, crossing it with a three-dimensional drawing suspended in the air. It is a calligraphy expanded in space, through which the artist wrote in a language of her invention, distancing herself from the spatial signs of her language and her use.
