Asia innova is the main program of Casa Asia related to innovation and technological cooperation with Asia. The objective is to publicize progress in the field of innovation in the region and promote scientific, technological and business cooperation with economic agents, universities, research centers, technology parks or cities in Asia.
From 2004 to 2020, 10 editions of the program have been held, dedicated to different scientific and technological topics, such as:
R&D policies, female leadership in the scientific field, applications of nanotechnology, the impact of robotics, new information technologies, smart-city models, sustainable urban development, or ecosystems of start-ups.
Asia Innova 2019
This edition brought together directors of incubators, research centers, technology parks and Chinese private companies, in order to identify business opportunities, joint research projects and entrepreneurs, new trends in the field of IOT and other opportunities for cooperation in both. cities.
The symposium included representatives from the Institute of Next by Infonomia and two of the main incubators in China:
TusStar, a warm incubator of Tsinghua University (Beijing), and the Jingchen Ruida Incubation Center of Science and Technology, incubator of the main industrial and technological development zone of Beijing, and a delegation of Torch, (Torch High Technology Industry Development Center, attached to the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology), main program for the development of high-tech industries in China.
Asia Innova 2018
The 2018 program focused on identifying opportunities for cooperation in areas such as sustainable mobility, infrastructure management, energy efficiency or the use of technology between European and Asian cities, as well as sharing proposals and solutions to common challenges.
With the theme “Fostering Sustainable Cities”, the symposium was attended by representatives of global city associations, such as the National Institute of Urban Affairs (India), CityNet, Korea or Metropolis, and specialists in sustainable urban development such as Jinwon Bae, from the Department of Territory and Regional Research (Sejong-Korea), Yao Yi, Guangzhou Institute of International Affairs, (China), Pankav Vir Gupta, architect (India), Ryo Wakamiya, Bureau of Roads and Highways (Yokohama-Japan ) and Kazuki Nakamura, from the Department of Civil Engineering, (Meijo-Japan), among others.
