Film Series of New Zealand

The Embassy of New Zealand in Spain in collaboration with Casa Asia and the Círculo de Bellas Artes of Madrid present for the first time a film series about this country, with the purpose to show a cinematography that isn't always easy to see beyond its borders. A good opportunity to accede to a cinematography that approaches rural and urban issues as well as a multicultural reality that identifies this community.

Casa Asia collaborates once again with the International Display of Gay and Lesbic Cinema of Barcelona Fire!! programming the series "East of Eden" with four titles of the current panorama of Asian films, which coincide in the need to show the problems of LGTB communities that are often hidden or we deliberately ignore.

Casa Asia at PhotoEspaña 2018: "Retrospective of Briccio Santos"

Casa Asia's programme for PHotoESPAÑA 2018 approaches on the one hand the situation of photography in the Philippines and the signs of its expansion through several study cases and the participation of a special guest, Briccio Santos. On the other hand, photography in Japan will be analysed, recovering an important figure, photographer Takuma Nakahira (1938-2015).

Film Series of Central Asia

Casa Asia turns once again to approach some of the most recent titles of Central Asian films to the public. These films are still unknown by most of the public. This series discovers the narratives of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kirghistan, through which we learn about these worlds we wouldn't get to know any other way.
