Filosofía japonesa en sus textos 700

Casa Asia and Editorial Herder organise an encounter owing to the recent publication of La filosofía japonesa en sus textos, a key book to understand the philosophic culture of a country such as Japan.

For years, there has been a lack of original philosophical texts translated into Spanish and now, with this edition, the possibility of a tour around the Japanese philosophical thought from its beginnings until the 20th century is offered to the public. This book has been conceived as an anthology which is completed with different presentations, indexes, bibliographic references and a broad glossary of terms.

Those who have contributed to carry out this edition have wanted to highlight, among their priorities, its use and it must be displayed to those who would like to learn about its sources. At the event the following will take part, among others: James W. Heisig, who is the author of Filósofos de la nada, also published by that publishing house, and specialist in Religion Philoso and School of Kyoto, and particularly of the work by Nishida Kitaro and Tanabe Hajime; Carlos Rubio, Emeritus Teacher of Japanese Literature at UCM and author, among other texts, of Claves y Textos de la Lieratura Japonesa, Los mitos de Japón, El pájaro y la flora and El Japón de Haruki Murakami; Kayoko Takagi, Teacher of Language and Literature of Japan and Coordinator of Japanese Language at UAM, as well as author and translator of works such as El Cuento del Cortador de Bambú or articles like Taketori Monogatari kara mita Gender and finally the editor Raimund Herder.
