Casa Asia en el Salón del Cine y Series

Casa Asia will be present at the first edition of the Fair of Films and Series of Barcelona with activities among which we highlight the programme called "Conversations”, which will contact film directors, programmers and distributors with the audience to talk about different aspects related to Asian films and its visibility in our country.

In the first edition of the Fair of Films and Series of Barcelona the film NIGHT SHIFT (2015) will also be screened, by the Iranian director Niki Karimi, which was part of the past edition of Casa Asia Film Week. Casa Asia's stand will be a point of information of activities that the Institution programmes in its headquarters, and a meeting point for Asian film fans, as well as for those interested in Asia and its cultures in general.

Nahid is a housekeeper that lives in Teheran worried about her daily routine: cleaning, cooking, looking after her daughter and watching TV. While her husband is a man whose work takes most of his time. Nahid is so absorbed by the world that it takes her long to realise about its wrong behaviour, who begins to be late and to keep secrets. Finally she will realise she has been living in ignorance her whole life.

  • Jegichagi | game where a light object is wrapped in paper or cloth and then kicked like a ball;
  • Tujo | game that consists in throwing sticks to fit them in holes;
  • Korean calligraphy in postcards | name writing;
  • Bae Ssi | headdress creation for the traditional costume;
  • K-pop performance | Flashmob | music and popular dance exhibition in fashion in Korea;
  • Tae Kwon Moo | stage art exhibition that mixes Tae Kwon Do (Korean traditional martial art) and dance.
  • Ramen tasting | unique opportunity to taste one of the most famous and spicy dishes of Korea, Ramen in three varieties: ShinRamen, Ganchampong, BuldakpokumMyun.
